Researching candidates ensures we elect leaders who protect parental rights in Utah, and Utah Parents United has teamed up with AmplifyUSA to make this process easier for you! Get informed and learn how to start researching school board candidates to make a difference in your community.

STATE SCHOOL BOARD

  1. Download the AmplifyUSA App: If you haven't already, head over to Amplify-USA.com to download the app.
  2. Navigate to the State School Board Section: Once the app is open, go to the state school board section. Click on your representatives picture and if there is a active race click the green "2024 election candidates" box to see who is running.
  3. Learn About the Candidates: Click on a candidate’s name to get more information. If the candidate has filled out any guides or been endorsed by organizations, you will find those links there, along with their ratings.
  4. Reach Out: You can also send the candidate a text message, give them a phone call, or access their website to do further research.
  5. Fill Out the Questionnaire: If you'd like to share what you’ve learned, you can fill out the questionnaire through a Google Form. Link to form here: Link to Questionnaire
  6. Submit the form and share what you've learned: Your anonymous questionnaire submissions will become public, allowing other parents to learn about the candidates too. You can see other submissions here: See all Submissions

​LOCAL SCHOOL BOARD
  1. Search Local School Board Candidates: For local candidates, click on your representative's picture in the Amplify app and check the blue box to see who is running in your area.
  2. Fill Out the Questionnaire: Using the contact info found in the Amplify app, contact the candidates and ask them questions from the questionnaire found in the google form. Link to form here: Link to Questionnaire
